Eragon and the Varden were victorious in the war against Galbatorix; unfortunately, many were lost in order to achieve this. Eragon lost all of his family and a great number of his friends. Out of the riders the only two remaining were Eragon and Ayra, and Vanir was the only one of their true friends who survived.
Being reminded of their losses constantly in the land the two decided to return to Alalea, the elven homeland. Of course they couldn’t leave before helping in the restoration of what had been destroyed during the war, which took roughly a year. While the two did this their dragons ventured off into the Spine to mate. There Saphira lay a clutch of eight eggs hoping to restore the dragon population.
The day before their departure the dragons returned and Saphira revealed her secret about the eggs to her rider. The two had a dispute about the future of the eggs: Eragon believed they should be used to carry on the legacy of the riders, and Saphira just wanted her children to be wild. In the end the two came up with the agreement that four eggs would be left to remain untamed and wild while the other four would be destined to have rider partners.
The day they left Eragon informed his only remaining trusty worthy friend other than Ayra, Vanir, with the location of the eggs and requested he only retrieve four of them and leave the other four to remain wild. Respecting Eragon’s wishes Vanir did as he was told and retrieved the four eggs from the Spine.
With a week or so a young man stumbled upon the four remaining eggs that were meant to be wild. He had been hiding out in the Spine since the fall of his father, Galbatorix. After discovering the eggs, Galzo was pleasantly surprised that one hatched for him. With revenge in his eyes Galzo took the remaining three eggs with him and headed into the Hadarac Desert.
When Vanir returned to Eragönia he and a small council who held command until the new leaders were ready decided that thee best course of action would be to keep the eggs in Eragönia where all would get the chance to become a rider after passing a few test on their morals. Those who passed the tests would be given a night with each egg. The four eggs hatched rather quickly for four promising riders. For four years these riders trained vigorously, most of their training took place in Ellesmera under elves, though they did return to study the history of all in the vast libraries of Eragönia.
Once they had the necessary experience these four riders ruled the Brodding Republic together each watched from a different city. One headed to Doru Areaba to bring people back to the island of Vroengard, one went to Dras-Leona, one to Eragönia, and one to Gil’ead. The four communicated daily through mind link.
A year into that same time period, Galzo had managed to set up base in a secluded part of the Beors. After having a solid base there he decided to get the other three eggs to hatch. Soon he made contact with another illegitimate brother in Surda and he knew there is where he would get his three riders. Surda had become crowded with those once strong supporters of Galbatorix fleeing the Brodding Republic and the eggs hatched for three there. After the four riders all returned to the base in the Beors to train.
After four or five years of training Galzo decided they were ready to start their campaign to take back the Empire. Rumors now spread throughout the land of Galzo and his riders who wish to take the land back and reclaim the Empire to rule it as Galbatorix once did. Although no one knows of the location of Galzo he is rumored to be somewhere near Surda. And that is where our RP begins.
